Justin Bieber confirmed as performer for MTV EMA
November 2nd, 2011 - 7:24 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattNew York, Nov 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Canadian teen singer Justin Bieber has been confirmed as a performer at the next MTV EMA. The event will be held at Belfast, Ireland at the weekend. The singer released a statement shortly after the announcement was made.
In the statement, Bieber said that, “It’s really exciting to be a part of the MTV EMA this year. Can’t wait to get to Belfast!!”
The event will be held on the 6th of November and the host for the show will be Bieber’s girlfriend Selena Gomez. Other performers at the event are Lady Gaga, David Guetta, Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Pepper and Bruno Mars.
Guetta revealed that he is excited to be part of the show. During an interview after MTV officially named him as one of the performers, the singer said that, “Performing at the 2011 MTV EMA is a big deal for any artist, but for a DJ, it’s a first. I’ll be joined by some of my special guest collaborators. I’m excited and honored — it’s going to be a crazy show!”
Lady Gaga has the highest number of nominations. She has been nominated for six awards. Gaga is followed by Bruno Mars and Katy Perry who received four nominations each.
