May 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Everything that baby faced Canadian singer Justin Bieber does becomes the headlines these days. He always hogs the limelight and the reasons are not always related with his singing career and albums. The Kim Kardashian Episode on Twitter that made several of his female fans angry has been resolved now but the singer is back in news. However, this time he is hogging the limelight for his achievements. The teen singer has bagged a BET nomination. The Black Entertainment Television award is meant for the black actors, singers, actresses and athletes generally but his nomination is an exceptional instance. The 16 year old singer has been nominated in the best new artist segment and he will compete with reputed artists like rapper Jay-Z. The latter has won 5 nominations.

The singer has been nominated for the Bet award because he is being considered as a crossover artist. The president of Music Programing and Specials of BETs, Stephen Hill, has said that Justin Bieber is an artist who has succeeded in transcending color boundaries in such a young age and that has got him the nomination. The awards ceremony will take place on June 27 at Los Angeles.

Justin Bieber’s latest album named My World 2.0 is selling in record numbers. He sizzled on the latest episode of the famous reality show American Idol yesterday and drew applause from the judges and viewers alike. The viewers got the taste of Bieber fever and host Ryan Seacrest praised him in lavish terms. It is also being rumored that he might be selected in the place of Simon Cowell, the outgoing judge, for the show.
