Tim Allen and Martin Short starred in the exceedingly funny Disney comedy “Jungle 2 Jungle”. The movie was produced by Walt Disney Pictures and TF1 Films Production and was released in 1997. Since then Tim Allen and Martin Short have been paired to act in the 2003 movie, “The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause”. This movie was equally hilarious.

Jungle 2 Jungle” is about self realization but the tale is told in an engaging manner. Tim Allen plays the role of Michael Cromwell who is a self absorbed commodities broker. He lives in New York City and wants to marry Charlotte, his new fiancĂ©e. However, before marrying he has to get a final divorce from his wife, Patricia, who now lives in Venezuela. When he meets his wife he becomes aware of the fact that he has a son, Mimi-Siku.

Michael brings Mimi to New York where Mimi falls in love with Michael’s friend’s daughter Karen. The movie takes a hilarious turn as Mimi tries to bring fire from the Statue of Liberty; however, as expected he cannot find any fire. Ultimately Michael gifts him a Statue of Liberty lighter which will give out fire. In the course of the movie Mimi returns to his mother and soon after Michael realizes that he is leading a futile life in New York. Michael goes back to Patricia and their son and at the same time Mimi is reunited with Karen.

“Jungle 2 Jungle” in more subtle terms tries to project the dichotomy between the two concepts of civilized and uncivilized and how these two concerts are the two sides of the same coin.
