Julie Andrews: ‘The Sound Of Music ‘ Star To Receive The Grammy Award For Lifetime Achievement

Julie Andrews the well known American actress, singer, and author who is well remembered for her role as the sweet governess Maria in the all time favorite ‘Sound Of Music’, is reportedly going to be honored by the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award along with a few other coveted artists from different areas of arts and performing arts section.
The veteran star is also very popular due to her role in the 1964 musical ‘Marry Poppins’ for which she had also won a Grammy Award and her role in the movie is till date considered to be one of her best stellar performances.
Julie Andrews as the most adorable queen in the Princess Diaries and also in the sequel thereafter Princess Diaries 2 has been the most adored and loved actresses of Hollywood and her immense contribution in the field of Arts and Performing Arts are immensely inspiring.
Some of her coveted ventures as director include plays at the Broadway which was part of her work place right from 2003 to 2005.Her involvement with the Shrek animated movies right from 2004 to 2010 is certainly noteworthy.
The beautiful talented star has already been a recipient of many prestigious awards like the Golden Globe, The Emmy Awards, The Screen Actors Guild Awards to name just a few which have been bestowed upon her over the years.
Thus this Grammy Award will be a legacy carried forward by the star in terms of her great and undisputed contribution in her very fruitful career. Reports suggest the Award is to be given on the 11th of February 2011 .
