Los Angeles, Mar 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Julianne Moore is set to play Sarah Palin in a new HBO film titled ‘Game Change’.

The studio confirmed Moore’s role on Wednesday. The film is based on John Heilemann and Mark Halperin’s bestselling book ‘Game Change’. The book was written by the two journalists based on the over 300 interviews that they conducted during the 2008 American presidential race. Wide range of issues and topics are discussed in the book like then Democratic nominee Barack Obama’s relationship with his running mate, Joe Biden and the selection of Sarah Palin by McCain to be his running mate.

The movie would be following the campaign of Senator John McCain in the 2008 race. It would in particular look at McCain’s selection of Palin as his running mate and the behind-the-scenes things that went on after the selection. It would also follow McCain’s campaign till his eventual defeat to Barack Obama.

No other cast has been confirmed by HBO for the movie. Of much importance to some people is who would be playing the role of McCain, Obama and Hilary Clinton in the movie.

The book, ‘Game Change’, received several criticisms for some of the explicit revelations made in the book.
