Julianne Hough has been diagnosed with endometriosis

Julianne HoughTwo-time winner of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” professional dancer Julianne Hough has been diagnosed with endometriosis and will have her appendix removed.The professional dancer was taken to the hospital last week after experiencing abdominal pains. Endometriosis is the development of uterine-lining tissue outside the uterus on the surfaces of organs in the pelvis or abdomen where they are not supposed to grow. Endometriosis is a painful medical condition that affects five to 10 percent of women. The growth could appear on the surface of the organs in the pelvis or abdomen that is why she had to remove her appendix.

Hough and her celebrity partner, performed a samba routine on Monday’s episode of ABC’s popular dance competition. The dancer and country singer, who has partnered with “Hannah Montana” actor Cody Linely on the show was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center following a live show on Oct. 21. Hough went to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after the last week’s live results show and claimed she had a stomachache and was feeling fine. Previously, the professional dancers who have stayed off the dance floor because of injuries had their celebrity partners temporarily paired with the show’s other professional dancers.
