London, Sep 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Her’s was the name that had inspired one of the most popular song in the history of music, the classical Beatles composition, “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds.” Now, Lucy Vodden is dead. According to the reports by various sources, the 46 year old Lucy Vodden is said to have passed away on Monday.

The sad and unfortunate news of her demise has been confirmed by the authorities at the St. Thomas Hospital, the medical center where she was being treated for her illness. She is said to have succumbed to the deadly disease of lupus, after having waged a hard fought battle against it for many years.

It was only recently that she had come in the notice of Julian Lennon, after he had received the news of her illness. He had reached out with sympathy and concern to his childhood classmate in the remaining few days of Lucy’s life. Julian Lennon has reportedly expressed shock at the news of Lucy’s death.

It had been pondered by many over the years, about the object of John Lennon’s inspiration for the immensely famous Beatles song. The question had always perplexed many, until it had been revealed that it had been a drawing by a young Julian, of his childhood classmate Lucy, that had spinned the creative wheels of John Lennon’s head. Julian had rushed home and showed his talented father the painting of Lucy, which he had called “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds” and thus, the overwhelmingly famous song based on the LSD usage, was born.
