Julia Roberts to play the evil Queen in Snow White movie
February 9th, 2011 - 9:33 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Feb 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Multi-award winning actress, Julia Roberts has signed a deal to play the role of the Evil Queen in a new Snow White movie.
Rumors of the star’s role have been making the rounds on the Internet for sometime now. The rumor has now been confirmed with the actress penning her signature on the deal, reports Reuters. The shooting of the movie will begin in April and the movie is set to be released on the 29th day of June 2012.
Roberts will be playing in the role of the Evil Queen who famously calls on her magic mirror to tell her who in the world is the most beautiful. In the movie, Snow White and the seven dwarfs she met in the woods will set out to revenge the murder of her father.
The movie will be directed by Tarsem Singh. It is the project of Relativity Media. The movie has not yet been named.
This is not the only Snow White project in the offing. Disney and Universal have all announced that they are working on a version of the famous children story. Kristen Stewart is tipped to play Snow White in Universal’s version that is set for release next year.
