Aug 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to Julia Roberts, she loves to eat, so the continuous flow of food that was placed in front of her while filming the movie ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ was actually enjoyable to her, unlike actresses who might use a spit bucket while on the set, Julia loved every eating moment, and gained a bit of weight along the way.

‘Entertainment Weekly’ says that Roberts gained about 10 pounds while shooting the film, which is about a newly divorced woman’s trek to self discovery, based on the true to life book by best selling author Elizabeth Gilbert, who actually made the actual trip to Italy which is portrayed by Robert’s character. Gilbert, who was thin from depression before making the trip, says she actually gained about 30 pounds during her visit.

Roberts states that since she loves to eat, the set was enjoyable. “By the time we would cut I’d be done with an entire pizza or a whole bowl of pasta,” she said. “The take would just go on and on and I’d love it.If you look at any of the scenes of eating, by the end of the scene, I’m done eating. When we were in Naples, we started shooting at 8 in the morning, and I think by 8:45 I’d eaten 8 or 10 pieces of pizza. Pizza was what I ate all day that day.”
