London, July 17 (ANI): Brit actress Julia McKenzie is said to be the latest in line of actresses to be playing the part of Agatha Christie’s most famous heroine Miss Jane Marple.

Many, including Joan Hickson, Angela Lansbury, Geraldine McEwan and Margaret Rutherford, have played the role of the detective, reports the Telegraph.

McKenzie, 68, was spotted filming ‘A Pocket Full Of Rye’, which is the first in a series of new Miss Marple adaptations on ITV1 and is expected to be broadcast later this year.

She is the seventh actress to take on the role of the spinster sleuth on screen. (ANI)
