300julesstevenlr020311Feb 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Eminent director Steven Soderbergh has been sued by an Australian woman for paternity issues. The Australian woman named Frances Lawrencina Anderson on Wednesday filed the paternity lawsuit in Manhattan claiming that Steven Soderbergh is the father of her daughter Pearl Button Anderson who was born on August 30, 2010.

According to sources, Frances Lawrencina Anderson said that the director who is already married to writer cum journalist Jules Asner since 2003 had sexual intercourse with her on several occasions. She revealed that the sexual acts were done during the time when the Oscar winning director was in Sydney while he was directing stage show “Tot Mom”. The production for the show had run from December 2009 to February 2010. She however has not mentioned any specific date for the conception saying that it could have been any possible day throughout the entire period of time which Steven Soderbergh spent in the Australian city. The legal papers even state that Steven Soderbergh supposedly has acknowledged that he is the father of the child and went through a DNA test saying for ensuring the paternity.

Frances Lawrencina Anderson has listed that Steven Soderbergh had helped her bear all the medical expenses right from the time of her pregnancy to the time when Pearl Button Anderson was born. The lawsuit demands Steven Soderbergh to be legally declared as the father of the baby along with taking the responsibility for bearing the child’s health insurance and pay sufficient resources for her support. While Frances Lawrencina Anderson’s attorney chose to remain tight-lipped about the matter, Steven Soderbergh’s lawyer has not shown any response to the media.
