Los Angeles, Feb 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Michael Jackson’s former doctor, Conrad Murray would soon know if his new addition to his team of attorney’s would be accepted or not.
Dr. Murray has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and a judge would hear on Thursday whether a lawyer that had ties with the late singer should be allowed to defend the physician.
Nareg Gourjian does not have a direct link with the Michael Jackson. It is quite complicated because he has a link with the celebrity attorney Mark Geragos who defended Michael Jackson during his child molestation trial. Geragos was the attorney of the pop singer from 2003 until 2005 when he left the case.
Gourjian was a former associate with Geragos and the prosecution fears that he might hold some inside information into the matter that would give the defense team unfair advantage during the trial.
Geragos is expected to testify before the court on Thursday on whether Gourjian should be allowed to join the defense team.
Murray would not be attending the hearing. Gourjian argues that he did not play any major role in Michael Jackson’s molestation trial.
The judge is expected to rule after the hearing.
