Judge refuses to dismiss charges against Anna Nicole Smith’s doctor

dr Los Angeles, July 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A request to drop charges against one of the doctors accused of providing Anna Nicole Smith with illegal drugs, that led to her death have been dismissed by the trial judge in the case.

Judge David S. Wesley, who is a superior court judge declined to give the defense lawyer permission to throw out one count each of “conspiracy and obtaining a prescription for opiates by fraud, deceit or misrepresentation” against Dr Sandeep Kapoor.

Smith’s friend and long time lawyer, the 61 year old Howard K. Stern, has also been charged along with Kapoor. The 62-year-old Khristine Eroshevich, who’s also a doctor also has been charged with conspiracy and other crimes that led to the former model’s death.

Judge Wesley ordered that the 3 accused be put on trial since there was sufficient evidence liking them to the death of Anna Nicole Smith. The 3 accused persons have been charged with conspiracy to issue illegal drugs to the former model between June 2004 and February 2007.

It ought to be recalled that Anna Nicole Smith died in February 2008, in a Florida hotel room after taking an overdose of a prescription drug by accident.
