Jude Law has become a father for the fourth time and his latest child is born out of wedlock.

Samantha Burke who had short term relationship with Hollywood actor Jude Law has given birth to his baby on Tuesday and has named her Sophia.

Sophia was originally due to arrive on October 6 and weighed 5lb 12oz on arrival.

Eileen Koch, the publicist of Burke announced: “Samantha Burke is overwhelmed with joy at the arrival of her beautiful and healthy baby girl, Sophia. The baby and mum are doing wonderful.’

Law’s other three children are with ex-wife actress, Sadie Frost.

Though he’s no longer with Burke, he has agreed to stand by her and help to raise the child.

In July this year, the representative of Law had confirmed the news that Samantha Burke is pregnant with the child of Law.

The actor’s representative had said, “Jude Law can confirm that, following a relationship last year, he has been advised that he is to be the father of a child due in the fall of this year. Mr. Law is no longer in a relationship with the individual concerned but he intends to be a fully supportive part of the child’s life.”

However, the actor was reportedly absent during the Sophia’s birth. The sources also revealed that he was in the US in Broadway production of ‘Hamlet’ at the time of child birth.
