Judd Nelson Pays Tribute To John Hughes

cdLos Angeles, March 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Amidst the glamorous and dazzling star studded evening of the 82nd Annual Academy Awards, a tribute was paid to the legendary film director John Hughes. The writer, director and producer who died last year in August, was remembered on the Oscar night. Actor Judd Nelson was on stage along with Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, Anthony Michael Hall, Jon Cryer, Matthew Broderick and Macaulay Culkin- who have all in some way or the other worked with the director before he died last August due to a heart attack.

Judd Nelson was part of John Hughes’ “The Breakfast Club,” where he played the role of John Bender. The film had been called one of the best to have been made by the director and had received accolades during the 80s. “The Breakfast Club” is considered as a classic in Hollywood. The film had made the above mentioned young people stars, owing to the success of this film during 1980s and 90s. Since then, Judd Nelson had endeavored in many other films but few had brought him the success which could match up to John Hughes’ film. Judd Nelson has also tried his luck in television and has made many television appearances, along with hosting shows.

According to reports, on Sunday, many were surprised to see Judd Nelson with other stars on stage. Many people tweeted their surprise on the various social networking sites. However, it was all owing to the pleasant surprise that his appearance had created among all the fans and lovers of “The Breakfast Club,” who were happy to see the old gang reunite on stage again in an attempt to honor the esteemed late director.
