Juanes to perform in Peru, visit Machu Picchu
June 29th, 2012 - 11:19 am ICT by IANSLima, June 29 (IANS/EFE) Colombian singer-songwriter Juanes will give three concerts in Peru in September and also visit the famed Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, organizers of the Movistar Musica 2012 tour said.
The pop star known for hits such as “Fijate bien” and “Me enamora” will perform in Lima Sep 12.
He will then give two more shows - Sep 14 and 15 - at the southern cities of Cuzco and Arequipa.
“During his stay in Peru, Juanes will take the chance to visit the citadel of Machu Picchu and enjoy Peru’s gastronomy,” organizers said in a press release.
Juanes, one of Latin America’s most recognizable pop stars, has won 17 Latin Grammy Awards and one Grammy Award.
