Joss Stone releases new album LP1
July 27th, 2011 - 1:07 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, July 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) British singer Joss Stone has released her fifth album titled “LP1.” The album was released ahead of the planned release of the band Super Heavy’s album. Super Heavy is made up of such rockers like Damian Marley, A.R. Rahman, Mick Jagger, Stone and others.
For the first time in her career, Stone worked with Dave Stewart on her album and it is evident from the sounds on the album that she was taken away from her comfort zone. Stone seems to have come a long way since she dropped her first ever album in 2003.
Stone was just 16 years when she came out with her first album. She is noted for singing R&B but her recent album seemed more like rock. Several commentators are identifying the new style of Stone to the genres in the 60s and the 70s. The album was released on the singer’s own album and this is the first time that Stone is coming out with an album since she ended her contract with EMI.
On the album, Stone worked with a band in Nashville and the sounds produced has strong resemblance to those of the band Rolling Stones.
