Washington, Jan 7 (ANI): American actor Josh Brolin ended up stealing the show at the New York Film Critics Awards dinner, when he decided to speak out his mind.

Brolin, 40, who won Best Supporting Actor for his work in the drama, Milk, called his American Gangster co-star Russell Crowe an a-hole, after Sean Penn introduced him.

Quite an actor, Sean Penn. And not an a-hole like Russell Crowe, Fox News quoted him as saying.

Like Russell Crowe, he repeated.

Brolin did not have any nice words either for New York Times theatre critic Ben Brantley, who reviewed him in a performance of Sam Shepards True West.

I hate that motherf-, he said.

And I dont think hes a good writer, he stated.

Brolin later said that he didnt really mean Crowe was an a-hole.

Hes a great guy, he said.

Its all good. He has his thing, he added. (ANI)
