best56Nov. 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) If you watched the Saturday Night Live yesterday, then you would be wondering who the heck was the hunk who made you laugh your guts out. Well, he was none other than ‘Cobra Commander’ of the 2009’s released “GI Joe: the Rise Of Cobra”- Joseph Gordon Levitt.

The American actor who holds four awards and ten nominations to his credit, at the mere age of 28, hit the audiences nerve with his performance on the ‘Saturday Night Live’ leaving them gasping for more. Levitt began his show by performing the O’Connor’s song ‘Make Em Laugh’ which has become the talk of town and is being seen as one of the best opening performances SNL has ever had. His gimmick was complete with the back flips, just like O’Connor’s in the movie “Singin in the Rain”. Next to come up on screen was a “faux-movie trailer” of the recently released, $250 million budget’s, “2012″. The best part of the trailer was that Sarah Palin had become the President by 2012, and that was the root cause of the disaster. Even worse was the concept of seeing Glenn Beck as the country’s Vice Prez.

This November, SNL had January Jones hosting another of the episodes, which was criticized for weak writing. Unlike beliefs, she seemed un-interested and could not keep up the ratings or the audience-expectations.

The hoisting done by Levitt, however, filled the gaps she had left last week, and SNL once again proved to be a delightful watch with its 7th episode of the 35th season. Along with Levitt, the performing band was ‘The Dave Matthews Band’.
