Nov. 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Popular culinary show, ‘The Next Iron Chef’, season two, which aired on the Food Network, ended Sunday night. The season finale was made more interesting with the innovations and technical expertise of the finalists. Some of the most reputed world class chefs competed in this culinary competition but Chef Jehangir Mehta and Chef Jose Garces could make it to the final episode of the show. Chef Jose Garces proved himself better than all other chefs who competed in the show and was declared the winner.

Throughout the competition, Chef Jehangir Mehta and Chef Jose Garces had given tough competition to each other and had prepared several types of dishes in the show, which helped them enter the finale episode of the show. However, Chef Mehta fell short of few points and could not claim the title of this popular culinary show.

Winning ‘The Next Iron Chef’ competition fetched instant fame for Chef Jose Garces. In an interview, Jose Garces expressed his desire for starting one more restaurant of his own. Sources also stated that though Chef Garces is from Philadelphia, he wanted to open his eatery at New York City. Chef Garces was quite confident about his culinary skills and had also spoke elaborately about his experience on the show.

According to show winner Jose Garces, though the contestants of the show have the risk of early elimination or of getting portrayed in a negative way, winning the show makes the contestant famous. The owner of six restaurants, Garces, considers that winning the show also has positive results on the business of a restaurateur.
