Oct 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The CNN news anchor Rick Sanchez was fired from the network after he made a controversial comment about Jon Stewart on “Stand-Up with Pete Dominick”. The former CNN anchor called Jon Stewart a “bigot” and said that he belongs to Jewish community. However, it seems that the whole incident gave “The Daily Show” anchor Jon Stewart a valid reason to mock Rick Sanchez publicly.
Jon Stewart was hosting Comedy Central’s event “Night of Too Many Stars:An Overbooked Concert For Autism Education,” a charity fundraiser event at the Beacon Theater in New York City. The host brought in several references to poke fun at the former collaborator of CNN International. Jon Stewart said that if someone goes to a radio show and says that the Jews control the media, then that person might want to hold onto his money. “The Daily Show” host said that all that Rick Sanchez needs to do is apologize to the Jewish community and they would hire him back!
On Friday, Rick Sanchez appeared in the radio show to promote his new book “Conventional Idiocy.” During the show, the former CNN host said that he thinks Jon Stewart is a “bigot”. Rick Sanchez also made a controversial comment when he said that the media channels are run by Jewish community and even CNN is run by Jewish people. CNN then released a statement where it was stated that Rick Sanchez would no longer be a part of the network and wished him “well” for his future. Rick Sanchez was not available for any comments.
