New York City, June 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Television talk show host Jon Stewart has thrown a jab at Chris Wallace of FOX for his recent remarks. Stewart was appearing for the first time on a Sunday talk show and he used the opportunity to discuss the comments of Wallace.

Stewart called Wallace ”insane” for inferring that the ”Daily Show” was politically tainted. Wallace is the host of FOX News Sunday and during a recent episode he said Stewart has an agenda to promote the liberals in the United States. Wallace made similar accusations against the mainstream US media and in particular the New York Times.

Stewart rubbished those accusations saying Wallace is guilty of the allegations he is making. Stewart explained that by working for FOX, Wallace was swimming in the “soup“ that he is accusing others of.

Stewart defended his credibility saying that, “The embarrassment is that I am given credibility in this world because of the disappointment the public has in what the news media does.”

Wallace has refused to comment on the recent remarks of Stewart. America has seen enormous increase in the political tension in the country. This has resulted in polarization of the country with the Democrats and the Republicans both taking the opposite sides of every issue.
