New York City, July 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The female staff members of the Daily Show have come in defense of Jon Stewart and said that he is not sexist at all. They even wrote an open letter in which they re-affirmed the feeling that Jon isn’t a sexist.

More than 30 female staffers wrote the open letter, which also includes the likes of Samantha Bee and their latest correspondent to join the show – Olivia Munn.

The open letter states that, “While rampant sexism at a well-respected show makes for a great story, we want to make something very clear: the place you may have read about is not our office.” And the letter is also addressed in a very novel fashion to ‘Dear People Who Don’t Work Here.’

This open letter was in response to Irin Carmon’s blog, which is titled ‘The Daily Show’s Woman Problems’. This blog popped up on the 23rd of June, on Jezebel.com

In the article, Irin has rubbished the Comedy Central show, after they took on board Olivia Munn, and said that female correspondents are a “short-lived phenomenon.” Then Irin also interviewed many former employees of the show who are female, and who felt that they weren’t given a fair chance.
