Los Angeles, Aug 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Jon Stewart is all set to interview the surviving members of the cult band – Nirvana. The interview would be aired on the 24th of September on radio at 5 pm Pacific time.

The date on which the interview would be aired is also very special as 24th September would be the 20th anniversary of their album ‘Nevermind’. Nirvana fans feel that it is the most substantial album of the group in the recent past. The producer of the popular album – Butch Vig would also be interviewed in this radio show.

The interview would be around 120 minutes and Jon Stewart is planning to record it in New York with a studio audience in tow. The Nirvana members who would face the hot seat are drummer Dave Grohl and bassist Krist Novoselic. They will talk about their experiences of recording their music with the other members of the popular group esp. with the band’s frontman Kurt Cobain. It is indeed unfortunate that Kurt Cobian is no longer with us as he committed suicide in 1994.

To commemorate the event, SiriusXM is also planning to launch a special Nirvana-only radio channel called Nevermind Radio from noon 23rd September till 9pm 27th September.
