Nov.17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Janet Weidenheimer, who took care of the children on the “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ passed away on the last week of October. Janet who was affectionately known as ‘Nana Janet’ to the family and the show’s viewers was 72 years old at the time of her death. Nana Janet was known to the audiences as the caregiver to the eight children of the Gosselin family in the popular reality television series.

However, the intrinsic details regarding the cause of her death have not been available and nothing can be said for sure about what led to the old lady’s death. At the same time, the funeral service of Janet took place few days later in Pennsylvania.

Janet was a well known face for the fans of the reality show, who had made a number of appearances in different episodes of the show in the initial seasons. The lady is known to have volunteered to take care of the Gosselin children and at the same time she is remembered to be extremely fun-loving and caring by the kids. Moreover, Janet is distinctly remembered for riding a horse on one of the birthday parties which showcased her fun-loving streak. The lady was also referred to as the “pseudo-grandparent” of the kids by their mother.

“Jon & Kate Plus 8″ is a reality show that revolves around the lives of the Gosselin family which comprises of the parents Jon and Kate along with their eight children. The show which is one of the most watched shows on TLC basically focuses on the challenges of raising the children together.
