Los Angeles, May 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Jon Hamm will make his directorial debut with the 5th Season of “Mad Men.” Jon will direct the premiere of the fifth season of the show. Jon is a star on the show and he will be following the footsteps of John Slattery who also had the chance to direct an episode during last season’s show. He told Live Line that he was excited to make a debut in directing.

Jon told TV Line that preparation is advanced for the premiere episode. He was quoted by the website as saying that, “The wheels have officially been set in motion to make that happen. It’s a very exciting challenge that I’m looking forward to with a mixture of utter fear and excitement.”

This will not be the first time that Jon will be working behind the scenes in a movie. He co-produced the movie “Friends With Kids” along with his partner Jennifer Westfeldt. Jennifer wrote and directed the movie which Jon also played a supporting role in.

Jon has also appeared in other movies like “Bridesmaids” and “Sucker Punch.” He has won a Golden Globe for his role in “Mad Men.”
