Atlanta, Nov 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) ‘Kate & Jon Plus 8’ made Jon Gosselin famous and now it appears this fame is the root cause of all his troubles. He has filed a $5 million lawsuit against the TLC channel claiming that he is now too famous to get a normal job.

The former Jon and Kate Plus 8 star says that he is unemployed since TLC removed him from the reality show and blames it on TLC, saying his contract with the network is “too restrictive” and prevents him from earning a living.

“Now, I find myself unemployed. And without the ability to secure non entertainment-related engagements because of the enormous media interest, cameras, reporters and public interest, it’s impossible to carry on normal daily activities, let alone find, secure and maintain a job with an employer who is willing to be exposed to the daily media intrusions that has impeded my life,” Gosselin says in an affidavit.

Gosselin also accuses TLC of being unfair, as they are more biased towards his estranged wife Kate Gosenlin. He claims that TLC has provided unfairly Kate with many opportunities while they “restrain” him from making money.

He also said that TLC enforced the terms of their contract “strictly and harshly towards me, while leniently, if at all, applying them towards my wife. The Plaintiff has promoted and even facilitated opportunities and appearances for my wife, yet attempts to restrain and enjoin me from making a living for my family.”

The ongoing battle between Jon Gosselin and TLC continues, and each side fires a new salvo after every few days.
