Los Angeles, Nov 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The reality series that was heart-warming and soul touching at the very same time ‘Jon and Kate Plus 8’ aired its finale episode yesterday. It ended after a three year run on the TLC channel.

The separation between Jon and Kate has been in the pipeline and in the limelight for long. Both of them spoke about their lives, futures, and aspirations as a family.

Kate called the ending as ‘bittersweet’ and said that Jon’s affairs with other women saddened her a lot. “The kids don’t know about the girlfriends at all,” she said. “That’s just too warped for them, too unhealthy for them to know. They’re learning at this age by watching us what it’s like to be an adult, but that’s the last thing I want them to know. I never had a clear picture of how it would end. It’s too soon,” she said.

Kate said that she never wanted to become a single parent and is quiet shocked at the turn of events that have now forced her to be one.

However Jon was in a totally different mode, and seemed quiet unaffected by the whole ordeal and the hoop-la hoo. “It’s unfortunate that our marriage failed, but our family shouldn’t fail. We’re gonna have to strive to be the best parents we can whether we’re married or not,” he said. “We’re definitely not gonna be married again.”

Earlier TLC had announced a new reality show with just Kate and the 8 children, minus Jon.
