Jolie eager to play ‘Sleeping Beauty’ nemesis

Los Angeles, July 12 (IANS) Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has expressed her desire to play the evil Maleficent in the new big screen adaptation of fairytale “Sleeping Beauty”.
Director Tim Burton has been signed up to helm the project.
“I would love to. It’s all new and being discussed, but I loved her when I was a little girl. She was my favourite. Tim Burton, the chance to work with him would be extraordinary,” said Jolie.
The “Tomb Raider” star is being considered to be a part of the upcoming movie, a retelling of the “Sleeping Beauty” fairytale from the perspective of the princess’ nemesis, reports imdb.com.
