In the same interview, Johnny Depp also says that it was erstwhile actor Marlon Brando who first introduced him to the works of the English playwright. In fact, it was Marlon Brando’s wish to see the actor in the character of Hamlet, the Prince of Denmark, on screen. And Johnny Depp too, wants to fulfill his friend and favorite actor’s wish and sees himself in the shoes of Hamlet very soon in the future.
Johnny Depp reveals much about his meeting with veteran Hollywood actor Marlon Brando where he says that Brando had tried to convince him to take a break and study Shakespeare so that he can come back fully prepared to essay the role of Hamlet for the big screen. Well, it now seems that Johnny Depp is prepared to take on the role and put in his best performance as Hamlet for the Hollywood screen.
