Johnny Depp to direct a documentary on rocker Keith Richards

Los Angeles, Apr 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star Johnny Depp is all set to direct a documentary on Keith Richards. Perhaps he is the best person to direct the Keith Richards’ documentary, as he was the star of the ‘Pirates’ series, and his character in the series – Jack Sparrow, was based on Keith Richards.
Keith Richards was the main inspiration behind the whole of the Pirates series, and he was named as ‘Jack Sparrow’ in the series. Keith Richards and Johnny Depp have been friends for long, and now Johnny Depp is all set to show to the public, the life and times of the rock musician in a documentary.
Academy award nominee Johnny Depp is already the director of movies like ‘Stuff’ and ‘The Brave’. He confirmed to the media that he is indeed going to direct the upcoming documentary. He said that, “Next week I’ll start working on a Keith Richards documentary. I’m very touched that Keith agreed to show up in front of my cameras.”
It may be recalled that Johnny Depp’s partner of 12 years – Vanessa Paradis had recently ordered him to quit ‘The Tourist’ with Angelina Jolie, even though he had already filmed some part of the movie in Venice. Apparently Vanessa felt so insecure when she “found out that there was a real long and intense love scene between [Depp] and Jolie,” so she panicked, and ordered her partner to quit the movie.
