Jan 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In what seems to be another celebrity death hoax circulating across the internet, Hollywood actor Johnny Depp was rumored to be dead in a car crash that took place near the port city of Bordeaux in France. The rumors has been circulating in various online portals which claim that the Golden Globe award-wining actor has been involved in a fatal car accident that claimed his life.

Since the rumors have surfaced, search engines have witnessed an unprecedented upsurge as more and more netizens are searching the internet to get valid information about the “Pirates of The Caribbean” star. Reportedly, search engines have already received an astounding 13million searches in this regard.

Meanwhile, the rumor was fueled by a report that was posted in a leading news source which claimed that the 46 year old actor had died owing to the injuries that he received in the car accident. The report claimed that the damaged car was spotted by a tourist who was driving along the road when he came across the wrecked car. The actor’s body was then recovered by the police authorities who arrived after being intimated by the tourist.

However, later it was revealed that the report came to light after a website came up with a fabricated web page of the news source. At the same time, many sources have also raised questions about the authenticity of the reports as the rumor has not been confirmed by any representatives of the actor. Moreover, none of the other leading news sources have furnished any details which might indicate the untimely death of the versatile actor.
