John Travolta turns down astronaut training offer
December 7th, 2009 - 6:09 pm ICT (UTC +0700) by ANILondon, December 06 (ANI): Plane-fanatic John Travolta does not have enough time to train to be an astronaut even though he would love to.
The actor even turned down Sir Richard Branson’s offer to take a seat on his Virgin Galactic space ship, scheduled for next year.
“I think I would like it. I’ve been approached several times to go up into the space shuttle and do these other smaller programs (than Virgin),” the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
The ‘Face Off’ actor mentioned he would have to compromise on his earnings if had agreed to Branson’s proposal.
He added: “But it takes about six months of training to actually do this kind of thing, so I told them, if they could subsidise me, I would do it.” (ANI)
