Well, here is good news for all you music lovers. The iconic country music singer, John Rich, is back with his latest album. For all those who have come late, the album’s name is “Son of a Preacher Man”, which was released only last month. The song “Shuttin’ Detroit Down” from this album is already ruling the US country music charts.
The Texas born singer started his career as a bass guitar player for the country music band Lonestar, way back in 1992. As is normal with all great performers, after some initial glitches there has been no looking back for him. John Rich went in for a solo career, after leaving Lonestar in the year 1998, with BNA Records. Many will be surprised to know that the now famous album “Underneath the Same Moon”, released in 2006, was actually recorded when he was associated with the BNA Records.
The next phase in John Rich’s music career began in the year 2003, when he joined Big Kenny to form Big & Rich. The duo released a number of albums on Warner Brother Records and quite a few singles. The country music lovers will surely recall the hit number, “Lost in This Moment”. John Rich has never set any boundaries for himself, even when he was working for Big & Rich he wrote songs for a number of artists. In addition to this Rich has also produced a number of records for different artists.
The immense popularity of the song “Shuttin’ Detroit Down” lies in the fact that it addresses the present economic scenario of America. In fact song is related to the government bailouts of financial institutions.
