Poor John Mayer can’t understand at all why he is always made the butt of every joke that is cracked by the funny woman Chelsea Handler. The singer is perplexed with being at the receiving end of Handler’s ire all the time. It is quite evident now that Handler has somewhat declared an ongoing war of words against Mayer but hasn’t exactly put forth any reasons for the same.

So, Mayer took to what can be considered to be best possible way nowadays, to ponder about the actions of Handler; he poured out his thoughts on his Twitter page posts.

On his Twitter page, he states, “I’m trying to figure out why Chelsea Handler has such seething hatred for me. I must remind her of someone of someone she knows and doesn’t like.” He also said, “She once told me it was cocky of me to try my hand at comedy. Like I’m supposed to begin every joke with ‘here’s one that might not work..”

From his posts, it quite evident that Mayer is absolutely clueless about why all of a sudden he has become the favorite subject of the talk show host. Mayer tweets, “Now, I’m just a musician and comedy is not my forte, so bear with me, but true story, I got in to a cab today..” In an after thought he wrote, “If Chelsea Handler wanted to dabble in singing and playing guitar, I’d give her props for it. (I do talk too much though).”

Handler had even taken a pot shot at Mayer when the musician’s ex-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston had been present in the audience at the Women in Film Crystal and Lucy Awards.
