Washington, November 10 (ANI): Singer John Mayer has sprung to defend Britney Spears’ lip-synching at a recent Australian concert that sparked protests from angry fans.
Mayer slammed devotees who demanded a refund after the pop princess preferred to mime and concentrate on theatrics and dancing during the live performance in Perth.
“If you’re shocked that Britney was lip-synching at her concert and want your money back, life may continue to be hard for you,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying on his Twitter blog.
A representative for Britney revealed the star was traumatised following the media coverage over her show that was part of her Circus tour in the country.
Aussie politicians in Western Australia, Victoria and New South Wales were said to be mulling new laws to force music promoters to inform beforehand if a concert will be live or lip-synched.
Britney will next perform in Melbourne on November 11, 12, and 13 before wrapping up the 14-concert Australian tour in Adelaide on November 29. (ANI)
