John Mayer Cancels Tour Dates Due To Illness

John Mayer June 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) John Mayer has canceled the end of his European tour because of an unknown illness. Although he was all set to play two shows in Amsterdam which were sold out, and and other in Manchester England, as well as a festival in Madrid, he has been forced to cancel those concerts due to the undisclosed sickness.

The next show which is on Mayer’s schedule as of now is a concert in Charlotte, NC on July 16. A statement on his website reads, “After a sold-out performance in Copenhagen, John Mayer was forced to cancel his second show there on 5/31 due to illness. Regrettably, the illness has caused his remaining European shows scheduled through this week to be canceled as well (Amsterdam, Madrid and Manchester). Ticket holders should apply for refund from point of purchase. Mayer is returning home to the States, and a full recovery is expected under a doctor’s supervision.”

According to sources quoted by ‘Billboard’, Mayer contracted an unknown intestinal illness after the first concert in Copenhagen, and was experiencing dizzy spells, nausea, and was dehydrated. He was told to recover at home under a doctor’s care.
