John Lennon’s Personal Letters To Be Published

Jan 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) This is a piece of news that is sure to leave all the Beatles fans out there highly delighted. A collection of personal letters written by none other than John Lennon is all set to be published in a new book later this year, reports say. The book which is scheduled to hit stores tentatively in the month of October, is definitely going to be a must-have for all the ardent John Lennon followers all across the world as it would comprise of exclusive letters amounting to hundreds, that the prolific musician wrote in his lifetime.
The publishing rights of the book has been bought by the London-based company Orion Books from Yoko Ono, the legendary musician’s widow for a whopping $500,000. The yet-to-be released book consists of as many as 150 letters that John Lennon wrote to his friends, fans as well as business associates over the years. Although all these years, the letter had been in the possession of Beatles biographer Hunter Davies, the intellectual rights of the letters were owned by Yoko Ono.
While revealing details of the upcoming book, Alan Samson, the chief executive of the Orion Publishing Group said that the volume would comprise of ‘wonderful drawings’ as well as ‘funny, sad and very human letters.’ The executive further went on to say that the book is sure to turn into a huge hit among all the die-hard John Lennon fans as these letters have never been compiled together in one place but more importantly most of them have never been seen before.
