John Lennon’s Last Quotes Revealed By Rolling Stone

lennonDec 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Today marks the thirtieth death anniversary of the most memorable singer of all times, John Lennon. He was one not only the most indispensable part of his band, “Beatles”, but also a cult figure of the retro music of the hippie era, marked with rebel, psychedelism and a lot of nostalgia. John Lennon’s death anniversary is being observed widely worldwide as a tribute to the singer. However, it is Rolling Stone, who probable gave a tribute to the singer the most, as they released John Lennon’s final interview to a reputed news source today.

Reportedly, three days before his assassination, John Lennon sat with Rolling Stone’s Jonathan Cott for a nine hour long interview. For thirty years, this tape has been one of the most precious possessions of the band. Several news papers asked then for the tape, but Jonathan Cott has always refused. This exclusive interview will be released this Friday, by the news source, which would be entitled as Rolling Stone’s tribute to John Lennon on the 30th anniversary of his death. In an interview on Thursday, Jonathan Cott said that John Lennon was “joyous and vibrant and hopeful and subversive and fearless” in the interview. He never minced words. The singer apparently slammed his critics and his fans who had criticized him after he left Beatles.

John Lennon said in the interview that all that his critics wanted was a dead hero, and he never wanted to be one. Therefore, he really did not care about what they say. He also said, that he would love to return with the band once again as a born-again rockers. To him, he had “Plenty of time”. However, he had the slightest clue back then, that the “Plenty of Time” was limited to only three days.
