John Lennon’s last autograph up for grabs

According to memorabilia Web site momentsintime.org, ‘The Beatles’ guitarist borrowed a guitar string from another band while recording at the Record Plant Studio on West 44th Street on Dec. 7, 1980.
The following day, Lennon gave an autograph to one of the sound technicians of the studio, writing “For Karl, who strung me along, thanks, John Lennon, 1980,” reports the New York Post.
He was fatally gunned down in front of his apartment 15 minutes after leaving the studio. (ANI)
