John Lennon’s First Ferrari to be Auctioned
January 14th, 2011 - 2:38 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonJan 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) John Lennon’s first Ferrari, a 1965 model, is scheduled to be placed up for auction an is expected to bring in at least one hundred and fifty thousand dollars when it is sold in Paris, France. It is said to be the car which was purchased by the tragic star of the ‘Beatles’ not long after he passed his driver’s test and acquired his license in 1965, which would mean that the car was brand new at the time.
Experts believe that the car will sell for at least one hundred and fifty thousand dollars, but that it could go for more, as much as two hundred and twenty thousand dollars when the British auction, which will be taking place in Paris on February 5, 2011, placing the car up for bid.
It is said that the car only belonged t the Beatles star for a few months, and then he went on to trade it for a Rolls Royce, but the sporty little car had already become an icon, after earning a permanent spot in history as the first car owned by John Lennon of the Beatles.
