London, Mar 4 (ANI): John Lennon is once again set to illuminate a Liverpool club but this time it will be in the form of two 10ft figures which were formerly part of the Blackpool illuminations.
The Lennon replica have been brought by the Brian Corrigan, the owner of Lathom Hall in Seaforth, a venue that saw ten performances by the Beatles between 1960 and 1961.
The figures were originally used in 2001 in an advertising campaign for the local pie company, Hollands.
The pie-faced designs were hung from lampposts in Blackpool as part of the towns infamous illuminations.
Corrigan said that people from across the world would come to see the figures because of the Beatles association with his venue.
“We are well known and we’ve got a lot of associations with the Beatle, BBC quoted Corrigan, as saying.
“We get a lot of people coming here from all over the world to see our displays.
“I think it’s the only original stage that the Beatles actually played on that is still here - so I’m really please the figures are here, they’ll just add to everything,” he added. (ANI)
