John Galliano to design for Topshop?
July 10th, 2011 - 4:46 pm ICT by IANSLondon, July 10 (IANS) Troubled designer John Galliano has reportedly been asked to design women’s clothing and accessories for British chain Topshop by its owner Sir Philip Green.
Green wants the 50-year-old to create a range for them.
Although nothing has been signed, discussions are said to be in the early stages. If the deal does come through, it will mark a huge turnaround for the designer who is going through a tough phase, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Galliano reportedly launched a verbal attack on a couple in a Paris cafe in February this year, and was fired as Dior’s creative director in March after a video showed him apparently drunk, telling a woman in a cafe he “loved Hitler”.
