On Thursday, John Corbett and Bo Derek revealed some of their personal secrets by inviting Oprah Winfrey into their private ranch in the countryside of California, many miles away from the materialistic life of Hollywood.

John Corbett said in the show that Bo Derek is the smartest partner he could ever think of. According to him, she is one of the cleverest actresses in Hollywood, as she is no less than any walking encyclopedia. According to John Corbett, his lady love knows many languages and several cultures across the world. She has a good command on politics and can indulge in a smart and intellectual discussion quite confidently. On the other hand, Bo Derek did not talk much about her intellect. She rather preferred to talk about her well-maintained figure and skin, even in her 50s. She said that unlike other actresses, she does not like to hit the gym. She thinks that it makes no sense to her as she has several other ways to keep herself healthy and fit. In her ranch, she looks after the horses, by riding them, shoveling manures, carrying food bags for them and doing other domestic chores.

Although these works cannot be counted as glamorous and are rather strenuous for an actress of her stature, she feels that is the right way to shed off the extra pounds. The actress hates going under the knives, like many other aging artists in Hollywood. John Corbett and Bo Derek also talked about their family planning and career on the show with Oprah Winfrey.
