John Cleese’s girlfriend helps pay his alimony

In an interview with Mandrake, new girlfriend Jennifer Wade revealed that she helps the comedian to pay alimony to his former wife Alyce Faye Eichelberger.
Cleese and Eichelberger divorced in 2008 but the procedure proved to be a costly one for him. Eichelberger’s lawyers managed to secure £12 million in cash and assets as part of the divorce settlement. She is also due £600,000 every year for the next seven years. Payment of the alimony has turned out to be too expensive for Cleese. The 71-year-old comedian joked that he will place a picture of his former wife in his office with the words “The woman who took everything.”
Eichelberger was the third wife of Cleese. Wade also went through a divorce of her own. She said the lawyer who represented her during the divorce asked for her permission to place her picture in his office with the sign “The woman who took nothing.”
Wade is a model and jewel designer. She has posed naked for the sculptor Jonathan Wylder. She told the Mandrake magazine that she will use money that she gets from her work to pay the alimony.
