Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are a happy-go-lucky couple, who have literally fought their ways up to build their own specific identities. Here is a news for the well wishers of the couple and fans of the front man of the rock band Good Charlotte, Joel; the couple have been blessed by a baby boy.

The couple reportedly announced the news on Nicole’s website. The baby boy has been reportedly been named as Sparrow by the couple. Although the showbiz world are questioning about the kind-of-weird name of the new born baby, the couple seems to be overwhelmed by the birth of their child.

According to sources, Sparrow was born early on Wednesday as he weighed 7 lbs and 14 oz. During an interview with the People sometime last month, Joel had reportedly said, “We are very, very blessed. We already had one healthy kid, and that’s all you can ask for as a parent - healthy kids.”

The couple who seemed to be overjoyed with the addition of the new member in their family were not available for any further comments. Joel and Nicole have a daughter together named Harlow Winter Kate Madden. Harlow will be two years old in next January.

Joel is a musician/vocalist/songwriter/guitarist for his band Good Charlotte. He is also an American Record Producer. Joel and Nicole began dating in the year Joel broke up with his then girl friend Hillary Duff sometime in the year 2006-2007. Madden was recently into news when he was asked to cover up his tattoos while boarding a flight in UK.

Joel did abide by the rules but later on expressed his anger through his Twitter account.
