May 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Finalists Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze was presented the lifetime opportunity of performing alongside living legend Joe Cocker on Wednesday during the Finale of American Idol Season 9. Joe Cocker surprised crowds with his fantastic performance and acting as the perfect coordinator between the the unique styles of Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze.

The finalists sang Joe Cocker’s famous hit ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’. The singer was at his best with the strange arm movements and gritty voice. The cover of the Beatles’ song was actually original to Joe Cocker for his unique style. The finale was marked by not just the legendary performances by the likes of Joe Cocker and Bret Michaels but also saw such other legendary names like Bee Gees and Alice Cooper taking to the stage. With so many stars present to add glitz and glamor to the Idol stage, no doubt the fans were left in ecstasy.

Another high point on the show was when Bret Michaels walked in the middle of the Casey James song. The man who fought death a few weeks before the performance was more than the fans could ask for. Simon Cowell who bid goodbye to the American Idol was paid a tribute by all the finalists of previous seasons and all the winners except David Cook, who had to attend a Cancer charity in Kansas City. Paula Abdul who sat in for Simon Cowell went on stage to deliver a touching speech on her co-judge. On winning the title, Lee DeWyze called it the happiest moment in his life.
