Los Angeles, Apr 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Reports claim that American actress Jodie Sweetin has ultimately divorced Cody Herpin after around two years of separation. The news that the former couple had finally settled a divorce deal was made public this week by her representative. The former couple on Tuesday attended a hearing at California’s Orange County Superior Court where the divorce was made official.

The couple got married in 2007 after just two months of dating. Jodie Sweetin gave birth to a girl back in early 2008 and in the same year November the couple split. She filed for legal separation at the court in November 2008. In December 2008 Cody Herpin asked for the lone legal custody of their daughter Zoie and since then the former couple had been engaged in an ugly battle over the legal custody of Zoie.

Cody Herpin had previously asked for the lone custody of his child accusing Jodie Sweetin of drunk driving with their baby in the car. The legal battle between Jodie Sweetin and Cody Herpin had taken many ugly turns during these two years. In mid-2009, the attorney of Cody Herpin alleged that Jodie Sweetin was getting back to the habit of drug abuse and that it might affect the child. That led to another custody ruling under which Jodie Sweetin was required to be under her mother’s guidance while taking care of her daughter Zoie. Jodie Sweetin and Cody Herpin however, have been given the joint custody of their daughter Zoie on Tuesday. Reports also claim that the judge has asked the former child actress to pay Cody Herpin $600 per month in child support.
