Jodi Applegate Says Yes To Michael Kay’s Proposal

July 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) News 12 anchor Jodi Applegate is engaged to boyfriend Michael Kay of the ESPN radio fame. According to reports circulating in the media, the couple who have been dating for more than a year now decided to get engaged on the beaches of Montauk. According to reports in various magazines, Michael Kay popped the question to his girlfriend on the 7th of July while they were on the beaches of Montauk.
However Jodi Applegate had not revealed any news about her engagement to the media till now because she wanted that the great news first be shared by her boyfriend with his sister Debbie. The media though was not to be outdone. While the engagement is now official, the date of the wedding has not been finalized yet. Considering that both Jodi Applegate and Michael Kay are very busy in their own professional lives, the wedding will take some time to happen. Michael Kay is scheduled to record for the Yankees on the YES Network in the upcoming season so it looks highly unlikely that the date of the wedding will be fixed before the end to the baseball season this year.
Since the first week of July tabloids have not only been abuzz with the news of the engagement but also the way the engagement took place on the beaches of Montauk. Michael Kay was reportedly at his romantic best while proposing to the love of his life. He was all armed with a four carat emerald-cut diamond ring for the occasion. Little surprise that Jodi Applegate gave her consent immediately.
