Sep 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) There is a lot more to Joaquin Phoenix than meets the eye. Recent appearances of the star had got his fans worried after it was revealed that he wanted to become a rapper and also lost the ability to construct sentences. There were also reports that he had taken to drugs badly and was in the process of losing his mind. All the rumors can now finally be put to rest as Casey Affleck, the director of the latest ‘mockumentary’ called ”I’m still here” revealed that it was all part of the act. He explained that even the much talked about appearance of Joaquin Phoenix was also a part of the act. Though the fans of the ‘Ladder 49′ star might feel relieved by hearing the news, some might also feel cheated for the last two years.
In a recent interview, Casey Affleck, the brother-in-law of Joaquin Phoenix said that everything that the ‘Gladiator’ star did over the past two years was a part of the film and said that he is perfectly sane and balanced as a person. He also said that this was a performance of a lifetime from the actor. Considering that all the stories of the actor leaving Hollywood for a career in Hip-Hop, the bearded look and all the awkwardness on an off camera were unreal, the reputation of the actor could either be at stake or skyrocket among his fans.
In the much talked about appearance on the David Letterman show, Joaquin Phoenix had answered most questions with one word and had a dazed look throughout. At the end of the show David Letterman joked that it was sad that Joaquin Phoenix could not be in the show.
